Aspiring UDP Leader John Saldivar to launch campaign

By BBN Staff: The race for UDP Leadership continues with standard bearers and area representatives pledging their support for either Deputy Prime Minister, Patrick Faber or John Saldivar, the two candidates that are vying for the post.

Saldivar is scheduled to launch his campaign on November 3 at the Belize City Civic Center.

Last month, Saldivar launched the Women’s Brigade garnering support from UDP women councilors and activists.

In more recent days, Saldivar has posted pictures with Shyne Barrow, UDP standars bearer for Mesopotamia and Tony Herrera, the UDP standard bearer for Corozal Southeast.

Most notably, Saldivar is being backed up by Former Deputy Prime Minister and Orange Walk north area representative, Gaspar Vega.

The UDP is scheduled to host their leadership convention in February 2020.
