Bullet Tree resident attacked and stabbed in Santa Elena

By BBN Staff: A resident from Bullet Tree Village, Cayo reported to police that he was attacked last night in Santa Elena Town.

Christian Herrera told police that around 7:30, he was walking near the wooden bridge heading into San Ignacio Town when 5 men who were inside a grey Toyota 4runner attacked him.

One of the men was armed with a gun.

The men forced Herrera into the 4runner where they stabbed him multiple times.

They then threw him out of the vehicle and a cab driver found Herrera lying on the ground  and took him to the hospital for medical treatment.

Herrera is currently at the KHMH in a stable condition.
