2 people die in fatal road traffic accident

By BBN Staff:  Two men lost their lives in a road traffic accident last night.

Around 6 last night, police responded to reports of a traffic accident at the intersection of the Southern Highway and the Savannah road- between Mile 38 and 39 on the Southern Highway.

When police arrived, they saw a bus with damages to the front portion.

Authorities also observed a motor cycle extensively damaged.

The bus and the cycle were on the right hand side of the Savannah Road heading towards Independence Village.

Police investigations revealed that about 5:50 pm, the bus was heading towards Independence and upon reaching the location, it hit the motor cycle from behind.

The cycle had reportedly just exited the intersection.

The cycle was being driven by Colvile Cho and the passenger was Fidel Cho.

Colvile received head injuries and was transported to Southern Regional hospital for medical attention but died on way.

Fidel reportedly died on the spot.
