Man and woman charged for drug trafficking

By BBN Staff: A man and a woman were charged yesterday for drug trafficking.

According to reports, police were on patrol on the George Price Highway between miles 29 and 30 where they saw a black pick-up truck  swerving on the highway.

Officers say that the driver threw out a plastic bag before stopping the vehicle.

The occupants of the vehicle were both taken to the area where the bag was thrown.

The bag was retrieved and observed to contain suspected cannabis, all to a total of 456 grams.

Martha Alfaro of Cotton Tree and Jaime Pernillo of Burrell Boom were arrested and charged for the offence of drug trafficking.
