Mayor Wagner meets Miss Garifuna Belize City, Niri Centeno

By BBN Staff: Yesterday, Belize City Mayor,  Bernard Wagner, met with a delegation of Garifuna representatives.

That delegation included  Miss Garifuna Belize City, Niri Centeno as well as Nerisi Lopez, President of the National Garifuna Council (Belize City Branch) and Sebastian Cayetano  (President Emeritus and curator of the Luba Garifuna Museum).

After a pleasant discussion, Mayor Wagner on behalf of his council presented a donation to Centeno to assist in her a journey to the National Miss Garifuna Pageant.

That pageant is scheduled for November 2, 2019 in Belmopan, Cayo.
