Belize City Council Dragons search for 3rd championship in Firms Basketball League

By BBN Staff: Tonight the finals for the Firms Basketball League is underway at the Swift Hall basketball court in Belize City.

Defending champions, Belize City Council Dragons take on Tuff Enuff Tours.

In the regular season the Belize City Council lost 2 out of 8 games.

On the other hand, Tuff Enuff lost 3 out of 8 games.

When the two teams had faced off, the Dragons won by more than 12 points.

Belize City Councilor responsible for Youth and Sports, Micah Goodin, told BBN that the Dragons will win their third consecutive championship.

“They’ve been training all season long and are in optimum shape,” he said.

He added, “The dragons have a culture of winning and are supported fully by the Mayor and the council to succeed.”

“We don’t expect anything less than a championship from them this year,” Goodin concluded.
