BREAKING: Golden hour as Belize stun Costa Rica in CODICADER volleyball

By Aaron Humes: Belize brings home at least one gold medal as the boys’ volleyball side took down hosts Costa Rica in three nail-biting sets this afternoon.

The youngsters waltzed out to 25-5 first set win over the nervous Costa Ricans, who then rebounded to win the second 25-15. Costa Rica held the lead for much of the third set but Belize grinded it out 15-12.

With 59 participants Belize’s delegation is the smallest at the games but the volleyballers played a perfect path to the championship. There has been no word on the athletics group as yet.

The team returns sometime this week.
