Two-time Mr. Belize eyeing prize for a third time

By BBN Staff: Clayton Greenidge, winner of the Mister Belize 2017 and 2018, says that he is confident he will take the title home for a third year at the upcoming competition, scheduled for Saturday, October 26.

Registration for the Mister Belize 2019 bodybuilding competition, which will be hosted at the Bliss Center for Performing Arts, will be held on Friday, October 25.

Greenidge, who has won two gold medals at the Central American games in 2017, made history this year at the Central America and the Caribbean (CAC) Bodybuilding Championships earlier this year where he scored a gold medal in the Masters Category and a silver medal in the 75kg weight category.

The Belize Body Building and Fitness Federation (BBBFF)has confirmed that, prior to Greenidge’s success, the best a Belizean has placed at the CAC was 9th sometime around 20 years ago.

Greenidge told Breaking Belize News that mental preparation and discipline is what sets him apart from his competitors and gives him the confidence that he will be the one crowned at the end of the night.

“I visualize. I set myself a goal and its like I become a magnet. Everything I think about comes to me because I’m totally focused on that. It starts in the mind first, you have to have a strong mind if you want to be victorious in all that you do,” Greenidge said.

The BBBFF is inviting fitness enthusiasts and all Belizeans to the event. Tickets are only $10.
