By BBN Staff: The race for the Mesopotamia constituency is being hotly contested by the PUP’s Dr. Candice Pitts and the UDP’s Shyne Barrow.
However, there has been an incident which suggests political sabotage more than twelve months away from the next scheduled election.
Dr. Candice Pitts took to Facebook where she shared that her banners hung near Orange Street and Dolphin Street were removed and destroyed over the weekend.
“Our investigation later lead us to an indentification of the culprit who orchestrated the removal of the banners and to an understanding of what was done to the banners thereafter, ” she said.
She continued, “What is very concerning to us is that someone who claims to be a servant of the people and claims to be a political leader with good character would exploit the needs and disabilities of a drug addict by ensuring he is paid by an operative to do the dirty work,” she added.
