Immigration Department loses two passports?

By BBN Staff: This morning, a Nicaraguan woman called into a local radio station claiming that her two sons, 18, and 24, entered Belize almost three months ago.

However, they committed an immigration violation when they did not extended their visa at the Immigration Department.

As a result, they were jailed and ordered to pay $2,000 for the violation.

Despite payment, the men are yet to be deported to Nicaragua.

That is because the Immigration Department reportedly lost their Nicaraguan passports.

According to the mother of the men, she will seek a meeting with the Director of the  Immigration Department.
