Belize City Council 2019 champs of Firms Basketball League

By BBN Staff: The Dragons of the Belize City Council are the 2019 champion of the Firms Basketball League.

In the first round last week, the dragons fell to Tuff Enuff.

In the second round on Friday night, the council walked away with a victory.

Last night for the third round of the finals, the council was able to take the lead after being down by 21 points after half time.

With last night’s victory, the council has won its third championship in the last three years.

Belize City Councilor with responsibility for sports, Micah Goodin, told BBN that “the team was supported in every way by the Mayor and council”.

“With all that support we expected no less than a championship, ” he added.
