Police: Boy, 6, raped in San Pedro

By BBN Staff: A resident from San Pedro, Ambergris Caye has been arrested and charged for raping a child.

The 6-year-old boy and his mom reported to police that on October 13th, 2019, he and his dad went to stay at a friend’s home for the night.

The child told authorities that in the night, his dad left the house to buy food and that is when he was raped by a man who was residing in the house.

A medical examination conducted on October 25, 2019 certified that there was evidence of anal penetration.

The 38-year-old man has since been charged for the crime.
