Between these lines…concern about the state of our water supply

We should always be concerned about the state of our water supply, there’s the reason it is described as a “utility”.
There should be a thorough, as in comprehensive, independent review, assessment, and analysis of our entire national water supply and sewage system, and that report should be public.

We should be assured beyond any reasonable doubt that the ppm in the water supplied, as well as chlorine and iron are below the acceptably, scientifically determined limits at all times.

Many of the large cities in the developed nations of the world are finding high levels of prescription and illegal drugs in the runoff from their sewer systems. We must begin testing for the same, monitoring the likely increase, and learn from their experience in the attempt to prevent the same from happening here.
Someone noted to me just yesterday, for example, that “Iron irritates the stomach lining and is a health risk factor to patients with erosive gastritis, peptic, and duodenal ulcers, as well as stomach cancer. Even when we prescribe ferrous sulfate and even ferrous fumarate we need to be careful with such prescription especially with patients suffering from what I just mentioned, and including constipation.” I believe this to be accurate based on my personal experience.

We must all, social and political leaders, as well as ordinary citizens, take a greater interest in what it is we are being supplied by our public utilities, all of them, and what it is we are consuming.

Hindsight in these matters is invariably bitter, never sweet.
