Man threatens BDF soldier in San Ignacio

By BBN Staff: According to reports, on Tuesday night, an officer of the Belize Defense Force (BDF) was threatened near his home in San Ignacio Town.

The 21-year-old soldier was playing a game on his wife’s phone when he received a text message from a man.

The message read, “Come out, I want to see you.”

The BDF went outside and stood on the side of the road and saw a man that he knows.

The man fired a shot into the air and then pointed the gun at the BDF.

Police are now seeking the suspect.
