Increase in moisture expected today

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize expects a slight increase in moisture and instability over some areas today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny becoming cloudy at times today with showers, periods of rain or thunderstorms being isolated until after mid-morning, increasing to a few mainly along coastal areas, then over inland and southern areas this afternoon. Partly cloudy tonight with a few showers, periods of rain or isolated thunderstorms mainly along the coast and offshore areas.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 84 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 87 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 78 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 75 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 70 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing North-Northwest between 5-10 knots and the sea state will be light chop rough.

There will be a high tide at 1:29 p.m. and a low tide at 6:30 p.m. The sun will set at 5:21 p.m. and the moon will rise at 10:13 a.m.
