By BBN Staff: Dayton Lewis, former police constable enlisted in the Belize Police Department in squad number 81. Lewis served in the department as an officer of the Special Patrol Unit, however, in February 2008, Lewis was severely injured in a road traffic accident.

During his time as an officer, he cultivated many friendships and on Sunday, November 3, those friends inside the Belize Police Department visited Lewis.

The officers of squad number 81 visited Lewis at his home in Dangriga and took him out for a full day of relaxation.

“Different activities were conducted in his honor, which builds on the comradery of the squad and also his family members who were supportive of the initiative. Moreover, it was a joyful moment for everyone,” a statement from the department said.
