BWS to conduct testing on water quality in affected areas

Posted: Wednesday, November 6, 2019. 3:46 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Belize Water Services (BWS) today informed that along with the Department of Public Health, it will conduct tests on the water quality in the affected areas and will inform when boiling is no longer necessary.

BWS extends sincere gratitude to all those who assisted during this challenge (water interruptions) including the San Ignacio/Santa Elena Town Council and the Belmopan City Council who provided their water trucks to deliver water to customers and the Fire Services for their assistance in distributing water.

BWS thanked Mayor Earl Trapp and the SI/SE Town Council.

BWS also extended commendations to their employees who worked tirelessly through extended hours to restore water to customers.

BWS thanks all customers and consumers for their patience and understanding exhibited during this difficult period.
