BWS: Water advisory remains in effect

Posted: Wednesday, November 6, 2019. 3:44 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Belize Water Services (BWS) issued a statement informing all residents of San Ignacio, Santa Elena and Esperanza that water has been restored for the majority of customers.

Some customers in the higher elevation may still experience water shortage or low pressure. BWS continues to work diligently to restore water to all customers.

BWS reminds all customers that the ‘boil water’ advisory remains in effect for customers in San Ignacio, Santa Elena, Esperanza, Benque Viejo and Succotz.

BWS recommends that customers treat the water by boiling or disinfecting before drinking or consuming.
