Circle R Rice targeted by armed burglars

By BBN Staff: Just before 9 o’clock last night there was an aggravated burglary in western Belize.

It occurred at the headquarters of Circle R Rice near mile 45 of the George Price Highway.

Hector Alvarado told cops that he arrived at the establishment and entered his room when he heard knocks at his door.

Upon responding, a firearm was pointed to his face and he was subsequently tied up.

When he managed to escape, the company’s cargo truck and a motorcycle had been stolen along with some of his personal items.

The truck was later found across the western border.

Police are at this time seeking two persons in connection with this incident.
