Jaswant Brooks laid to rest by family

By BBN Staff: The family of Jaswant Brooks, 18, is burying his body this morning at the Eternal Garden cemetery at mile 13 on the George Price highway.

Last night a post mortem examination was reportedly completed but his cause of his death was inconclusive.

Brooks had gone missing from his home in Lake Independence on Monday.

However, yesterday he was found dead and decomposing in some shallow water near mile 6 of the George Price highway.

He had visible signs of injury to the head and body.

This is not the first time that tragedy has struck the Brooks family.

In June 2016, Kent Brooks Jr., Jaswant’s brother was shot to death on Lacroix Boulevard in Belize City.
