“Sunny skies ahead,” says Met Service

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize, in its latest weather report, says that sunny skies are ahead as a light northerly airflow prevails over the country today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today and clear to partly cloudy tonight. Mainly fair weather will prevail with only isolated showers or possible isolated thunderstorms developing mostly over the south and offshore.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 78 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 76 degrees Fahrenheit on the coast, 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing North-Northwest at 5-10 knots becoming variable at 0-10 knots and the sea state will be slight.

There will be a high tide at 9:31 a.m. and low tide at 3:12 p.m. The sun will set at 5:17 p.m. and the moon will rise at 5:00 p.m.
