By BBN Staff: Today the Ministry of Finance announced that effective midnight the pump price of two fuel products will change.
The price for kerosene will register an increase and diesel will register a decrease as follows:
Kerosene will increase by 11 cents from $7.42 to $7.53 per gallon. Diesel will decrease by 19 cents from $10.09 to $9.90 per gallon.
The prices for premium and regular gasoline will remain unchanged at $10.78 and $10.07 per gallon, respectively.
The price changes reflect current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.
The government says it is monitoring the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.
