Retired soldier Myron Martinez succumbs to injuries received in traffic accident

By BBN Staff: Police today confirmed that Myron Martinez passed away yesterday while receiving treatment at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Martinez, a retired Belize Defence Force (BDF) soldier, was involved in a road traffic accident on the Philip Goldson Highway on Saturday morning.

He was reportedly heading home to Lords Bank when he crashed into a trailer transporting a wooden house.

The vehicle he was driving was totaled as he suffered massive head injuries.

Martinez leaves behind his wife and three children.
