One person detained for shooting of Alvin Lopez

By BBN Staff: One man has been detained following the shooting of Alvin Lopez, 19.

Lopez told police that shortly after 12 o’clock on Sunday morning he was walking in the Lakeland area of Dangriga town.

That was when a man approached him and an altercation ensued during which the man pulled out a pistol and shot him to his instep.

Lopez was later transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he was treated and released.

Police say that Lopez reportedly knew his attacker.
