Truck driver shot in an attempted robbery

By BBN Staff: A truck driver is alive after he was shot in an attempted robbery.

He is Issa Nunez.

According to police, on Saturday afternoon Nunez was seated inside a truck on St. Thomas Street in Belize City.

That was when two men approached him and demanded cash.

When he failed to hand over cash, one of the men fired a single shot that struck his leg.

He then drove himself to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was treated.
