Vendors stabbed and robbed at home

By BBN Staff: Sometime over the weekend three men entered a home in Belize City armed with knifes and a pistol.

That home is the residence of Elva Cal and Maria Pinto situated on Rio Grande Crescent.

Once inside the men ordered cash from the vendors who had just returned home.

Before handing over the proceeds of the day’s sale the women were stabbed.

One of their sons reportedly heard the commotion and intervened during which the robbers ran away leaving a .22 revolver.

The women were later treated and released by the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Police investigations continue.
