Posted: Wednesday, November 20, 2019. 9:32 am CST.

By BBN Staff: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, Sports, and Culture, Patrick Faber, joins the ranks of over 140 ministers and high representatives in Paris, France.

Today, during the 40th session of the general conference, Faber presented a National Statement among 120 Ministers of Education on the General Policy debate.

On November 19, under the theme: “Culture and Public Policy for Sustainable Development,” Faber participated in the UNESCO Forum of Ministers of Culture.

This panel discussion focused on “Culture in the Public Space, an Engine for Social and Urban Transformation.”

It also had the representation of 140 Ministers of Culture.

As a platform for priority setting and public policy development, this ministerial meeting will provide an opportunity to make decisive progress on the role of culture in development and continues to extend the concept of culture to include intangible cultural heritage and cultural diversity, and to define a global agenda for cultural policies.
