Santa Elena primary school celebrates World Children’s Day

Posted: Thursday, November 21, 2019. 12:18 pm CST.

By BBN Staff:  Today, Santa Elena Primary School in Cayo is celebrating World Children’s Day 2019 with free fun activities for all students.

The day is being observed under the theme “Protect and secure the well-being of our children”.

Activities of the day include jumping houses, trampolines, horseback riding, tambola and free snacks and juices.

Each child was given a set of tickets of varied colors, each representing a free pass or a free snack.

A memo from the Ministry of Education stated that the Ministry remains committed to the pledge, in doing everything within their power to protect and promote our children’s right to survive and thrive, to learn and grow and to make their voices heard and reach their full potential.

Schools across the nation are engaged in sports day activities, educational trips, culture day activities, and fun day activities.

Happy Children’s Day 2019!
