Giovani Ian Lennan laid to rest on his birthday

By BBN Staff: Slain athlete and firefighter, Geovani Ian Lennan, is to be laid to rest today on his 31st birthday.

The funeral is taking place this morning at Carmelita Village Adventist Church.

On the night of November 14, Lennan was walking on Welch Street in Belize City when a gunman ran up behind him and opened fire, killing him on the spot.

Police have since charged Denver Bevans with his murder.
