Home invasion reported in Belize City

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating a home invasion that occurred last night in Belize City.

Doretta Vernon reported to police that last night around 9:20, she was inside her home on Raccoon street extension along with Gloria Henry when a man armed with a knife arrived.

The culprit was dressed in full blue with a cap, a black and white rag covering his face and ordered the women to the ground then tied their hands behind their backs.

The culprit then searched the women.

During the invasion, Huborth Smith arrived at the home and he too was tied up and his mouth covered with a cloth.

The culprit stole two phones then escaped.
