By BBN Staff: Tyrell Robinson was charged for theft, attempted theft and damage to property yesterday in Belize city.

He is accused of grabbing a gold chain from a magistrate’s neck on Saturday while Magistrate Tanisha Smith was walking near the Michael Finnegan Market.

Robinson reportedly escaped with the medal after snatching the chain.

The police caught him but did not find the medal.

While Robinson pled not guilty, the prosecutor objected to bail.
