This morning, the White House and U.S. Capitol building were placed on lockdown after an ‘unresponsive aircraft’ violated restricted airspace over Washington.

Additional security measures were taken with officers warning people outside of Capitol facilities to stay far.

Fox News reported that U.S. Secret Service said personnel at the White House were told to remain in place.

After the scare, the lockdown was lifted and they were given the all clear.

Authorities said that the lockdown was triggered by an aircraft that violated the restricted airspace.
