Police find shotgun and revolver in Belize City

By BBN Staff: Proactive policing has led to the removal of two weapons from the reach of criminal elements.

On Tuesday night, police conducted searches in an abandoned lot at the corner of Ebony and Mopan Street.

That search lead to the discovery of a crocus sack containing a 12 gauge shotgun that was loaded with five 12 gauge cartridges.

Inside that same sack cops also found a .38 revolver pistol.

However, no one was in the area at the time and so both weapons were deposited as found property.
