Heavy security presence in Belmopan as Mason faces verdict

By BBN Staff: The murder trial for William “Danny” Mason; Ernest Castillo; the Fernandez brothers Terrence and Keiron; and Ashton Vanegas, all charged with the murder by decapitation of Pastor Llewelyn Lucas in 2016, concludes this morning before Supreme Court Justice Antoinette Moore in Belmopan.

Mason and his co-conspirators will face their verdict today in the Belmopan court.

There is increased security presence as Justice Antoinette Moore prepares to deliver her verdict at 10am.

Justice Moore tried the case alone starting in March and will today pronounce on the evidence presented in court by both sides and whether the men are jointly guilty of murder.

BBN will have news of the verdict as soon as it is delivered.
