By BBN Staff: Our newsroom has just received a reliable report from an eyewitness of a fatal traffic accident on the Southern Highway in Stann Creek.

An elderly man was knocked down near Kendall Bridge in Maya Center village and he died on the spot.

Police are investigating this latest fatal road accident.

In the last few weeks accidents on our highways are claiming an increasing amount of lives. Pedestrians and drivers are advised to exercise caution when traveling on our highways.
