BREAKING: Toyota tacoma stolen tonight from Succotz, second vehicle stolen this week in the area

BBN Staff: BBN has confirmed that a vehicle was stolen around 9:30 p.m. tonight in Western Belize. The vehicle is a Toyota Tacoma pickup, bearing license plate BVO-C-02234. 

The Tacoma, belonging to Alvin Chi from Succotz village, was stolen from his home in the new site area near the Nazarene school in the village. The vehicle was reportedly spotted heading in the direction of Arenal village on the Belize-Guatemala border.

This is the second vehicle stolen in the Succotz/Benque Viejo del Carmen area this week. The first vehicle was a blue Toyota tacoma that stolen from Benque on Tuesday, 3rd December 2019.

Toyota pickups are known to be the vehicle of choice used by campesinos in Guatemala for their farming and cattle operations.

Anyone with information on this stolen vehicle is asked to contact the nearest police station or to call 627-0813.
