Hit and run claims life of elderly farmer

By BBN Staff: A hit and run traffic accident yesterday afternoon claimed the life of an elderly farmer.

Police investigations revealed that Liborio Itch, 64, was walking on the Southern highway from the direction of Kendall Village to Maya Centre Village when he was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle.

The vehicle did not stop to render aid.

Itch sustained head injuries and was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted.

Police are investigating.
