San Pedro/Ambergris Caye receives 2 more Fire Trucks

By BBN Staff: Today San Pedro and Caye Caulker received two more fire trucks.

On hand to receive the two fire trucks was Minister of Transport and National Emergency Management (with responsibility for the National Fire Service), Edmond Castro, along with Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Manuel Heredia; Mayor of San Pedro Town, Daniel “Danny’ Guerrero; Assistant National Fire Chief, Benisford Matura; and Officer in Charge of Ambergris Caye, Gladstone Bucknor.

The fire trucks were handed over by Brad Campbell and Mark Bakken on behalf of Casa de la Caye Villas.

The ceremony took place at the fire station compound in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye.

The acquisition of these two additional fire trucks for San Pedro increases the fleet for the island to four trucks, two other trucks having recently been donated by Rotary and Digi Belize.
