Almost 100 Belizeans deported from the US in 2019

By BBN Staff: An article published today on newsamericasnow.com says that for the fiscal year 2019, over 5,000 Caribbean nationals have been deported from the United States, almost 100 of them were said to be from Belize.

The regional media site said that it did an analysis of the latest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Fiscal Year 2019 Enforcement and Removal Operations data, which was released this week, and found that a total of 5,379 had been deported from the US this
year. There were a total of 90 Belizeans in among the deportees, which is the fourth-highest from the region.

The top three countries which had their citizens deported are as follows: Guyana -125, The Bahamas – 109, Trinidad and Tobago – 106. Aruba, Guadeloupe, and Montserrat tie for the last place, each with only one of their nationals being deported this year.
