Police detain two thieves; seek one more in Guinea Grass robbery

By BBN Staff: Authorities are seeking a third suspect believed to have been involved in the robbery that happened last night in Guinea Grass, Orange Walk.

Police reports indicate that 55-year old Asian businessman, Guo Wie Wu, was inside his store at about 7:15 p.m. when three men dressed in camouflage, and armed with firearms entered his establishment.

The culprits held him up and demanded money.

The three men stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Quick police response led to the apprehension of two suspects in the area.

Officers also found camouflage clothing, two cell phones, a .9mm pistol along with fourteen live rounds with a magazine and some cash.

Police have two persons detained pending charges.
