Breaking: Fatal road traffic accident in Santa Elena claims one life

By BBN Staff:  BBN has confirmed that there was a fatal road traffic accident on La Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena that claimed the life of a person tonight.

The accident occurred around 9:30 pm near the new bridge linking Santa Elena to San Ignacio.

The victim’s vehicle collided into a lamppost and fence and overturned. The victim was flung into the bushes and died on impact.

Authorities arrived a short while ago and are currently processing the scene.

BBN spoke to several neighbors in the area who are gravely concerned about their safety and the safety of motorists. They are appealing for a pedestrian ramp to be installed at the entrance to the new bridge.
