NICH President delivers consolation prizes to students who participated in Christmas Card competition

By BBN Staff: Khloe Landero of Central Christian School won the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) 2019 Christmas Card Competition.

President of NICH, Sapna Budhrani is also traveling across the country in an effort to personally deliver consolation prizes to as many of the students who entered this year’s competition as possible.

Budhrani went spreading Christmas cheer in Orange Walk and Corozal and got the opportunity to visit and give tokens of appreciation to the students of Compassion School in Yo Creek, La Immaculada in Orange Walk Town and St. Paul’s Anglican School in Corozal Town.

On Wednesday, December 11, Budhrani delivered consolation prizes to 45 of the students who participated in the 2019 NICH Christmas Card Competition from Punta Gorda Town.

Budhrani got the opportunity to meet, speak with, and personally deliver the consolations prizes to the students of St. Peter Claver School and St. Benedict R. C. School.  While the students were excited and surprised by the consolation prizes, Mangar of St. Peter Claver was also pleasantly surprised. 

Mangar was also the recipient of a prize, as her class submitted the most entries to this year’s NICH Christmas Card Competition.

Fern Gutierrez, of the Toledo House of Culture assisted with the distribution of prizes to the students of Toledo Christian Academy. 

The students who submitted artworks from Benque Viejo, San Ignacio – Santa Elena, Dangriga and San Pedro have been receiving their consolation prizes through the respective Houses of Culture in their municipalities. 

Budhrani also hand-delivered the consolation prizes to the students in Belize City’s Hummingbird Elementary, Holy Redeemer Primary School and Belize Elementary School.
