Weather conditions expected to improve today

The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that weather conditions are expected to improve following the passage of a cold front last night.

The 24-hour forecast calls for variably cloudy, windy and cool conditions, except for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms over southern areas and offshore.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 80 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 72 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 68 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 62 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 58 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be gusty, blowing North-Northwest between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be rough. A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas.

There will be high tide at 8:46 a.m. and low tide at 1:27 p.m. The sun will set at 5:24 p.m. and the moon will set at 3:26 p.m.
