By BBN Staff: Priyanka Chopra, actress, singer, film producer, and the winner of the Miss World 2000 has teamed up with renowned footwear brand, Crocs and the United Nations Children’s Fund to give 50,000 pairs of shoes to children in Belize.
Since 2006, Chopra has worked with UNICEF and was appointed as the national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child rights in 2010 and 2016.
Chopra announced the initiative via twitter stating: “This initiative is very special to me. What started as a conversation with @Crocs of shared interests and concerns for the children of the world has blossomed into this amazing association with @UNICEF, an organization that is so close to my heart.”
In addition, Chopra said that “Crocs’ mission is to help everyone around the world be comfortable in their own shoes and Belize is just the start. We hope to take this wonderful initiative to children in countries across the world.”
