Shot in the mouth, Daniel Bennett unable to talk to police

By BBN Staff:  Daniel Bennett, 23, is at this time unable to speak to police.

On Christmas Day he was shot in the mouth.

According to police, he was walking on Mopan Street in Belize City when he heard a shot and realized he had been shot in the mouth.

He reportedly ran to the police checkpoint on Vernon Street and officers there transported him to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

When asked about possible motive for the attack, police said they were unable to establish one.

However, they did indicate that Bennett was known to authorities.
