Fair weather to start off the new year

The first weather report for the year 2020, prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize, says that generally fair weather will prevail today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells and little or no rainfall.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 86 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 78 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 77 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 69 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East between 5-10 knots and the sea state will be slight.

There will be low tide at 8:50 a.m. and high tide at 2:42 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:29 p.m. and the moon will rise at 11:06 a.m.
