Trump Warns: U.S. Has ’52 Iranian Sites’ picked out in Case of Retaliation

Posted: Sunday, January 5, 2020. 2:30 pm CST.

By BBN Staff:  The world is monitoring closely the heightened tensions between the United States of America (USA) and Iran.

Tensions escalated this week as violent protests erupted at the United States Embassy compound in Baghdad, Iraq.

Last week Thursday, a US ordered drone missile killed Iranian commander, Qassem Soleimani.

Following reported threats from Iran, US President Donald Trump took to Twitter and said that the US is prepared to hit ‘very fast and very hard’ in the event of retaliation from Iran.

Trump warned that if there is retaliation for the killing of one of its top leaders, it will face US attacks on 52 targets.

The number 52 represents the number of hostages held by Iran in 1979 when 52 American diplomats were held for 444 days.

“Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have………targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD……….The USA wants no more threats!”   Trump said.

“Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American, & badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime,” Trump stated.

The Iranian General was blamed for the attempt to invade the United States Embassy in Baghdad on December 31, 2019.
