US President Donald Trump: All is well!

By BBN Staff: Following the launching of missiles targeted at three US airbases in Iraq, United States President, Donald Trump tweeted that all is well.

 “All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq,” Trump tweeted. “Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning,” Trump said.

Reports are that shortly after 5:00 p.m. today, Iran launched more than 12 ballistic missiles against US military and coalition forces based in Iraq.

US media noted that President Trump met with national security officials at the White House about the attacks.

The US authorities were on high alert for retaliation after US ordered drone missile killed Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.

Iran’s foreign minister, Javad Zarif, said in a Tweet that Iran “took & concluded proportionate measures in self-defense.” He added: “We do not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression.”
