By BBN Staff: Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams this morning hosted the Belize Police Department’s first national Computer Statistics (COMPSTAT) meeting for 2020.
Williams was joined by the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) in the Ministry of National Security, George Lovell.
The meeting was held with Senior Police Officers at the National Police Training Academy, Belmopan City.
Williams shared his analysis of the 2019 major crime statistics countrywide.
The commissioner also discussed four key areas of crime/violence fighting in 2020.
The four key areas the BDP will tackle are illegal drugs, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, and gangs/gang-related crimes.
