Regular gas goes up by 22 cents

Posted: Thursday, January 9, 2020. 5:25 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Finance announced today that effective midnight tonight, the pump price for regular gasoline will increase by 22 cents from $10.06 to $10.28 per gallon.

The prices for premium gasoline, kerosene and diesel will remain unchanged at $10.72, $7.77 and $10.29 per gallon, respectively.

The Government of Belize says that these price changes reflect current demand and supply conditions of crude oil in the international petroleum market and fluctuations in the acquisition price of refined fuel products in the countries from which Belize obtains its supplies.

The Government says that it continues to monitor the price movements and supply conditions closely and will work with the fuel industry to safeguard the pump prices paid by Belizean consumers.
